Automated Project Audit Plan (PAP)
INSTRUCTIONS
The Automated Project Audit Plan (PAP) is a Microsoft Excel workbook designed to facilitate the generation and monthly update of a Project Audit
Plan. To provide the desired functionality, the workbook makes extensive use of Macros. In order for the workbook to function properly, the Excel
application must be set up to run macros, requiring that the Macro Security level be set to Medium. To check your security setting, perform the
following steps:
● From the Menu bar, select Tools / Options . . .
● From the resulting Options dialog box, click on the Security tab
● From within the Security tab dialog, click on the Macro Security button found in the lower right-hand corner
● From the Security dialog box, click on the Security Level tab and set the level to Medium by clicking on the option button.
● Click on OK to close the Security dialog box.
● Click OK one more time to save your setting and close the Options dialog box
If you changed your Macro Security setting, you will need to exit Excel and restart your application. When prompted, be sure to select "Enable
Macros" before starting work in the workbook.
The PAP workbook is pre-designed to include all the audits normally encountered on a project. These include office and site quality audits. The
PAP can accommodate up to five (5) offices / location(s), a site location and an "Other" category to handle unique situations. Each audit category
will allow up to seventy-five (75) user-defined audits to be added, providing total flexibility to accommodate all user needs.
GETTING STARTED WITH THE PAP -- When the PAP file is first opened, you will be asked to fill in certain information. This information
includes the client, the project title and identification, the scope, the name of the Project Quality Representative, and the Plan date and revision.
This information will appear on the Plan and can be edited at a later date if necessary. If this information is not provided during plan initiation, the
user will be prompted during file close to provide this information as required.
The heading area of the form also includes fields for adding a project-specific reference number and date, if required.
SETTING THE PLAN TIME SCALE -- The Plan can accommodate up to a 72 month time scale as specified by the user. To set the time scale,
click on the Set Time Scale button, and select the starting month, starting year and duration from the input form.
