Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assignment

PURPOSE

This procedure provides instructions for conducting a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assignment Meeting on a capital project.  This procedure includes requirements for preparation, execution, and follow-up.

SAFETIY INTEGRITY LEVEL (SIL) VERIFICATION

PURPOSE

This practice provides instructions for performing calculations to verify and demonstrate that the design of each Safety Instrumented System is sufficient to meet the performance requirements associated with its assigned Safety Integrity Level (SIL).
