LOPA Workshop and SIL Validation Workshop
May 16-17 and May 18-19
in Calgary, AB
Would you like to know how to plan, execute and document Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determination, including LOPA, and validation studies efficiently, effectively and in accordance with the IEC 61511 standard?
Are you responsible for ensuring that SIS have been designed to appropriately mitigate specified level of risk?
Would you like to increase your chance of successfully passing the TUV (Rheinland) FSEng SIS exam?
ACM's LOPA and Safety Integrity Level Verification (SILV) workshops are designed as an entry level into the world of SIS and are used as a gateway into more advanced certification courses. The LOPA workshop provides insight on why SIS are needed and at what stage of facility design they are born. SILV is an extension of the knowledge gained in LOPA and focuses on how robust each system must be to reduce risk to a tolerable level within the facility. Each workshop is two days long, they are held back to back every quarter at ACM in Calgary. The content gained from these two courses will prepare instructors to speak to the justification and design of SIS.
With these 2 workshops, ACM helps participants understand the principles behind two of the most commonly used SIL Determination Methods (Layer of Protection Analysis and Calibrated Risk Graph) and use real-life examples to teach how to design multiple Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) to meet specified integrity levels |
