P&ID Engineering Drawings Interpretation Workshops
Also available at your facility upon request with the opportunity to customize the workshop with your engineering drawings
Piping and Instrumentation diagrams can be very confusing for anyone who hasn't worked with them before! Even if you've worked with them, but never had any formal training, it's very hard to be sure you have a firm grasp of the concepts. When participating in a design review or a PHA or any process that involves reviewing P&IDs, Operators, EITs and experienced Engineers need to understand how to read the drawings in order to contribute.
Help your Operators, EITs and Engineers learn how to read and work with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams!
What You Will Learn:
-
-
How to understand the process flow
-
The ability to redline errors or omissions
-
Understand instrumentation and other P&ID symbols
-
Identify safe operating limits based on system design
Course Objective:
To provide you with the ability to interpret P&IDs so you can effectively assess emergency situations and evaluate safety, environmental and regulatory compliance issues. This combination of classroom instruction and workshop exercises focuses on critical documentation essential to the safe day-to-day operation of facilities (e.g., P&ID, PFD, Plot Plan, Electrical Area Classification, Piping Drawing, Isometric Drawing, Line List, Tie-In List and Shutdown Keys).
