1.0 PROJECT EXECUTION STRATEGY
[This section should be a high level summary of the execution strategy for the project. It should
be prepared by the Proposal Manager during the proposal phase, or by the Project Manager
based on the proposal, within 30 days of project award.
In general, much of the material in this section can be extracted or paraphrased from the
Execution Strategy included in proposal for the project and updated to reflect the as-sold
modifications resulting from discussions with the client. If the current execution strategy deviates
significantly from the strategy in the proposal, the revised strategy should be reviewed with the
responsible Business Line Operations Leader prior to inclusion in this section.
The completed section should be provided to the project team as soon as possible. It should be
provided as a handout at the internal project kick-off and alignment meeting, and/or provided to
new team members as they join the project.
Project Leads use the initial issue of this section as a guide when preparing their more detailed
PEP sections that follow. This section is updated if needed, and then included in the PEP along
with the other required sections.
Provide here a one or two sentence introduction to the project (don’t provide too much
information, as more details follow in the rest of the section). Following is some example text:]
This document describes the high level execution strategy for the [Project Name], in which Fluor
will provide [EPCM services to design and construct a major expansion of [Client Name]’s facility
in City Name, State / Province Name, Country Name.]
1.1 PROJECT OVERVIEW
1.1.1 Client
[Client Name] is the client on the [Project Name]. [Identify the Client and describe
their expected level of involvement on the project and other pertinent information. If the
Client is a Joint Venture, indicate who the parent companies are.]
All matters relating to the execution of this project will be coordinated by the Project
Manager directly with the [Client Name]'s Project Manager assigned to the project, or
their designated representatives in the [ Office Name] office or at the construction
site.
